< PreviousLogistics 4.0: The industrial digital transformation INNOVATION Video AGUNSA presents its new corporate accelerator called Open Warehouse, aiming at revolutionizing the transportation and logistics market in its permanent support to give value in the supply chain. In spite of the COVID19 crisis, the company wants to promote innovation to face the current and future industry challenges, as it has done in recent years. In the first call, start-ups and scale-ups were invited to be innovative, with differentiating business models that add value to AGUNSAs supply chain in its different areas. The main area is the Transportation area: Air innovation, Maritime innovation, Transportation and logistics, Storage, Process digitalization, Customer understandings 70 start-ups were enrolled, and 8 were shortlisted after a previous process of video calls and preselection. Then they must submit their business plan before AGUNSAs innovation committee. The object of this initiative is to find those disruptive technology-based entrepreneurships that offer innovative solutions to the challenges and opportunities offered by the different industries in which AGUNSA is present. The Murcia business school, ENAE Business School, invited us to participate in their Logistics Webinar. The speaker was commercial corporate manager, Sebastián Santa Cruz, who talked about logistics in the digital era (Logistics 4.0) and the challenges it brings. https://player.vimeo.com/video/503040412 http://www.openwarehousebyagunsa.com/ SELF-SERVICE TOTEM AGUNSA ARGENTINA SAP TO CORPORATE HOSTING IN AMAZON UPDATE OF USERS’ COMPUTERS TECHNOLOGY Within the permanent digitalization of doing things, a self-service solution has been implemented for our personnel on site, specifically in mining customers warehouses operated by AGUNSA, to visualize or print product safety sheets, sundry operational procedures, risk matrixes, among others. The same technology will be replicated in diverse assembly of operations, as required. In the search to reduce risks, costs and local complexities, the AGUNSA Argentina SAP has migrated to the BusinessOne corporate hosting the company has in Amazon (USA). Initially, AGUNSA Argentina had its SAP in equipment in their own offices, to then have their solution in an external hosting (but very expensive), to finally reach its final location together with ecosystem of the rest of the company systems. Safety problems are discovered every day in the software used regularly (even in those that may have been updated very recently). Cybercrime looks for computers with software that is not updated precisely to violate them there. To have all the software updated is a Herculean and never ending task; hence, we have included the Automox system in each users computer, that is attentive to having all computers duly updated. This deployment has already been carried out in 1,400 computers in Chile and currently there are pilot uses in several countries for their possible adoption (Argentina, Peru, Uruguay, Central America, Spain, Mexico, among others).ANNIVERSARIESDECEMBER ACTIVITIES Years of Service Winners of drawing contest “Navidad a tu pinta” Virtual Christmas To maintain the Christmas tradition, on 20 December AGUNSA arranged a virtual event so that each of our collaborators could participate from home; the youngest members of the family were able to enjoy a greeting from Santa Claus, stories, Christmas elves, online games and quizzes for the family. Rodrigo Pérez Manager in Mexico AGUNSA Mexico was incorporated in 2003 to represent CCNI, which was achieved together with our previous agent, Transpac. Operations started in Mexico City, offering maritime and land freight with a team of 30 people. Given the countrys and the business growth, in 2009 we spread our services to port agency by opening offices at Manzanillo and Lázaro Cardenas. In 2011, we opened our Monterrey office that allowed us to broaden our presence in the north of the country, together with the opening of our office at Guadalajara during 2019. In 2011, we obtained the representation of Wan Hai Lines (WHL), incorporating a company for said representation that initially offered only one weekly service. Currently, we operate three weekly services and this has allowed triplicating our cargo volumes, which today are over 70,000 TEUS and exceed the 1-million-dollar barrier of net profit. After the sale of CCNI in 2015, the representation of WHL was attended by only 27 people. Due to our solid structure and the talent of all the organization, we are proud to be a team of 61 people, who by way of the new strategic vision are planning the geographical expansion for the port agency services in the ports of the Gulf of Mexico, as well as services such as: local and national transportation, distribution, storage, self LCL service, cross-border from/to Canada, USA and Central America, documentary back office, port agency services, and the inherent services of the development of our Freight Forwarder service. During 2020 we achieved our Ericsson global account for national distribution and today we can say that we are the only supplier in LATAM that offers the follow-up of their cargoes on the Blue Bee platform. This has placed us in a leadership position in Mexico. We are currently participa- ting in important Storage and Distribution tenders for customers in Mexico, and national distribution for Trupper and Home Depot, among other important customers. Likewise, we are aiming at operating our own warehouse during 2021, investing as necessary, apart from reviewing the involvement in port and infrastructure investments this year. Our aim is to grow 50% by using the resources and the infrastructure we have today. The global pandemic has obliged us to change our way of living and doing business, and it is exactly where AGUNSA Mexico is looking for those spaces that allow us to continue adding value to our customers, suppliers, employees and stockholders.www.agunsa.comNext >
