AGUNSA Achieves International Certification in Information Security and Strengthens Its Commitment to Digital Sustainability

Santiago, Chile – As part of its digital transformation and sustainability strategy, AGUNSA has reached a significant milestone: the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, an international standard that ensures best practices in information security management. The process, led by the corporate IT team in Santiago, was successfully completed in the first quarter of 2025.

Over the course of more than a year, the initiative involved the transformation of critical IT processes, supported by a Chilean cybersecurity consulting firm and reviewed by an international certification body. This effort not only met the rigorous requirements of the standard but also laid the foundation for a robust management system.

The ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification marks a strategic step for AGUNSA by strengthening the protection of its critical information, ensuring regulatory compliance — such as with Law 19.628 on the Protection of Personal Data — and enhancing its competitive positioning in tenders and partnerships that demand high cybersecurity standards.

This achievement was made possible thanks to the commitment and leadership of the IT team, who actively participated in every stage of the process. With this certification, AGUNSA integrates information security as a key pillar in its organizational development and its contribution to a safer and more trustworthy business environment.
