AGUNSA attends British Antarctic Survey aircraft

AGUNSA has been its agent for over 10 years, efficiently assisting the BAS operative teams that work to coordinate campaigns of ice tractor trains, joint aircraft studies as well as multinational deep field experiments in the Antarctic territory.

BAS is a UK institution that is dedicated to the investigation of the Antarctic and is a part of the “Natural Environment Research Council” (NERC) with more than 400 employees. It operates five investigation stations, two vessels and five aircraft.

It works on investigative projects with more than 40 British universities and more than 120 national and international collaborating institutions. British Antarctic Survey carries out an ambitious and challenging scientific program. In order to supports its work, it operates a fleet of five aircraft that are especially adapted to fly in the extreme Antarctic climate.

With over 500 attentions in the last decade, AGUNSA is known as an efficient provider for our representative BAS.
