This private port for loading and unloading of raw materials and steel products, was certified in 2004 under the PBIP Code (the Protection of Ships and Port Installations), which enables it to operate without limitations with international vessels.

The port has four berths, prepared to transfer over six million tons on an annual basis, with a workforce of 210 people.  One of these berths can operate two Panamax vessels simultaneously, for the discharge of raw iron and steel materials.  The other berths are utilized to receive general goods that are destined to steel products, and also for barges with minerals that are arriving from bordering countries, using the Parana River waterway.

Under this contract, AGUNSA, handles the discharge of all of these steel products with specialized equipment and qualified personnel to meet the high standards of productivity that are required in this industry, taking care of the environment, and the safety of both the people and installations.

Ternium Siderar is the largest steel manufacturer in Argentina.  It supplies both sectors and industries such as agricultural machinery, construction, automotive, auto parts, packaging and appliances.  The production centres operate with the highest levels in technology and make permanent investments to maintain these international standards of competitiveness, thus being able to supply their various customers with quality products based on their needs.

It should also be mentioned that AGUNSA, is a Chilean company which was created in 1960 as a shipping agent, which has extended its services to ports, airports, logistics and transportation, with coverage in America, Europe and Asia.
