AGUNSA Launches Comprehensive Mining Logistics Operations for Mantos Blancos and Mantoverde After Securing Contract with Capstone Copper

Since April, AGUNSA has begun operating the integrated logistics for the Mantos Blancos and Mantoverde mining operations after being awarded a nationwide contract with Capstone Copper, consolidating its role as a comprehensive logistics operator for the mining industry.

This award represents a significant milestone for the company and reaffirms its position as a trusted partner for managing highly complex logistics operations under demanding standards of safety, traceability, and efficiency.

For Tomás Valenzuela, AGUNSA’s Commercial Manager, this new contract validates the company’s capabilities and the sustained work of its teams across the country: “This award confirms our ability to execute complex operations with world-class standards, adapting to the specific requirements of large-scale mining,” he stated.

The operation involves comprehensive supply chain management, including supplier scheduling, offsite material reception, unpacking, inspection, and inventory control, transit warehouse operations, transportation to mining sites, as well as reverse logistics processes—ensuring a safe, efficient, and fully traceable operation.

From the regions, teams led by Erick Contreras in Antofagasta and Victoria Soto in Copiapó play a key role in executing the contract, contributing local expertise, strategic infrastructure, and operational management aligned with the highest industry standards.

With this new challenge, AGUNSA reinforces its commitment to Chilean mining by providing comprehensive logistics solutions that contribute to operational continuity and the sustainable development of one of the country’s key industries.
