AGUNSA strengthens logistics services in Coronel Bay

The Chilean company AGUNSA has made a significant advancement in its logistics operations in Coronel Bay by securing a long-term contract to operate 20,000 m² of warehouses—a unique facility in the area. Located just over a kilometer from the port, these facilities will allow AGUNSA to triple the volume of cargo handled in the coming months, enhancing operational efficiency and capacity in the south-central region.

This development is part of AGUNSA’s growth strategy aimed at strengthening its logistics service offerings in Chile. The warehouses stand out for their high standards in efficiency and safety and are designed to handle import and export cargo such as wood, steel, food, and industrial and construction supplies, under demanding operational parameters.

“This project marks a significant step in consolidating our presence in the country’s south-central zone. The infrastructure we are adding to our network will allow us to streamline operations and respond more swiftly to our clients’ needs, reinforcing our value proposition in a highly competitive environment,” said Jonathan Escalona, Regional Manager of Biobío.

The new infrastructure will offer a comprehensive solution that includes storage, cargo consolidation and deconsolidation, along with complementary services to the port environment. This expansion strengthens Coronel’s position as a key logistics hub at the national level, providing clients with a robust and efficient solution for their operations.

Tomás Valenzuela, AGUNSA’s Commercial Manager, emphasized the importance of this project: “The new warehouse, with top-tier infrastructure and a unique strategic location, reinforces AGUNSA’s leadership in the area. Its direct connection to the port and proximity to the container depot enables us to serve various industries and open new business opportunities not only for AGUNSA but also for our clients and strategic partners.”

With over 65 years of experience in integrated logistics solutions and international presence, AGUNSA reaffirms its commitment to the country’s logistics development, consolidating its role as a key player in the national supply chain.
