Cherries Bound for China: A New Season Begins with ZIM

The cherry export season is officially underway, and one of the first shipments departed this week bound for Xingang, China. Cherries—highly demanded and among the most valued Chilean fruits in the Asian market—symbolically mark the start of a new operational cycle together with ZIM, a key partner in the refrigerated transport of fresh products.

From the port of San Antonio, we work to ensure that every logistics process flows with the precision required for a fruit as delicate as the cherry. Coordination between terminals, operational areas, documentation services, transportation, agencies, and specialized teams allows us to guarantee efficient container movement while maintaining the cold chain and meeting the strict timing demands of the season.

Every stage matters: from load planning, quality standard verification, and export documentation management, to the final loading of the vessel. The combined efforts of our teams and all collaborators involved result in safe, agile operations prepared to respond to the high level of dynamism that defines this time of year, when the commercial window is short and logistics demand grows exponentially.

This is how we experience the logistics that power the export season: through committed teams, coordinated processes, and the shared conviction that every cherry leaving Chile represents a joint effort to bring local flavors to the world’s most demanding markets.
