Education and port operations: A key meeting in Iquique
As part of our commitment to technical training and the development of local talent, AGUNSA participated in a session organized by the Instituto del Mar Carlos Condell (IMAR) in Iquique. The event brought together students from the Port Operations program, aiming to connect them with the realities of the maritime and port business in the region.
During the session, our team presented the salt loading process at bulk terminals and at the Patache Maritime Terminal (TMP), where AGUNSA provides comprehensive services including industrial maintenance, maritime agency, cargo operations, and stevedoring. This experience showcased the diversity of operations we carry out in the area, where we are present in 75% of the terminals.
The meeting featured the participation of:
Patricio Risco, Deputy Director of Pedagogical Articulation at IMAR
Yendri Figueroa, Coordinator of the Port Operations program
Pablo Pérez, Contract Administrator TMP-CMC AGUNSA
Wladimir Estay, Shift Supervisor REPORT TMP
This initiative reinforces the importance of the current agreement between AGUNSA and IMAR, which facilitates professional internships and contributes to the training of future technicians specialized in the port industry.
