AGUNSA Commemorates 61 Years Driving the Expansion of the Country’s Largest Maritime Terminal in San Antonio
Since April 1965, AGUNSA’s San Antonio branch has been a key player in the development of the country’s main port, supporting its growth and establishing itself as a strategic partner for Chile’s maritime, port, and logistics industries—now marking 61 years of history.
Operations began with port agency services for major shipping companies of the time, such as CCNI, Ned Lloyd Lines, and Flota Mercante Gran Colombia, marking the beginning of a trajectory closely linked to Chilean foreign trade. At the same time, AGUNSA incorporated launch services for pilotage and crew transfer—services that remain in place today and have evolved in line with market and port operation requirements.
Over the years, this service line has been strengthened through the continuous renewal of its fleet, including vessels such as AGUNSA Regulus and Alfa Perseus, reflecting the company’s ongoing commitment to delivering safe, efficient solutions aligned with the highest operational standards.
After 61 years, AGUNSA SAI has consolidated a broad and diverse service offering in San Antonio, including port agency services for companies such as Hyundai Glovis, K Line, NYK, Yang Ming, ONE, Seacape, Empremar, Sorprodi, and Probisa, among others. This is complemented by container sales and leasing, copper-related services, container depot operations, and comprehensive logistics solutions through warehousing, intermodal services, and CDA.
Operations also include cargo consolidation and deconsolidation services, vehicle storage for KAR Logistics, land transportation, as well as documentation and customer service, delivering a comprehensive offering that meets the needs of an increasingly complex and dynamic logistics chain.
This journey reaffirms AGUNSA’s strong commitment to strengthening foreign trade and its purpose of connecting Chile to the world, providing experience, reliability, and continuous adaptation from one of the country’s main logistics hubs.
