Salvatage Services

During the month of May, Mv SURABAYA EXPRESS, belonging to our customer NOVA Carriers, suffered severe damages, and was left stranded at Corral Port, situated in Region X of Chile. Besides providing agency services, AGUNSA coordinated the salvage services, including launch boats, tugs and hiring the services of a specialized diving company recognized by the vessel class (ABS).

Once the emergency repairs were done, all of the necessary logistics were provided in order to have the vessel sail to the 8th region, where major repairs were performed and later the assistance to have the vessel safely sail to China for entry to a drydock.

This successful operation demonstrates the professionalism and experience by AGUNSA and her personnel in handling salvage operations, of which also had to adhere to strict restrictions and norms related to COVID-19.
